Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky received US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin in the Ukrainian capital kyiv on Sunday as a delegation from Washington visiting the besieged country.
The two top US officials met with Zelensky in the Ukrainian capital, presidential adviser Oleksiy Aristovich said in a video interview on Sunday night. He did not provide further details yet.
Ukraine announced the visit on Saturday. There was no comment from Washington.
Under constant attack from Russian forces, Zelensky said before the visit that he intends to discuss with Blinken and Austin the question of what weapons Ukraine needs and how quickly they can be made available.
