Tulsa driver narrowly avoids crash while trying to pass fire truck

A driver in Tulsa, Oklahoma narrowly avoided a collision while trying to pass a fire engine with its lights and sirens on in late April, footage shows. Ben Mazanec said that he shot this video of the incident on April 24. A black SUV is seen trying to pass the fire truck on the left, only to brake abruptly as the fire truck begins to turn left. On Facebook, the Tulsa Fire Department reminded motorists to pull over for emergency vehicles, writing, “Our devices are expensive. We can’t afford to have even one fire engine out of service, and our firefighters have enough to worry about.” Credit: Ben Mazanec/FirstAlarm STL via Storyful
