Toronto weather will be mostly sunny this weekend and you can finally ditch your umbrella

Torontonians have pretty much missed out on all opportunities to enjoy the warm weather this spring, and this weekend will be no different, but hey, at least it will be sunny.

According to The Weather Network (TWN), Thursday will be blessed with full sunshine and mild temperatures this afternoon as areas like Toronto, Hamilton and Niagara shake off the winter blues on Wednesday.

For once, the good news will come in pairs, with Friday expected to be just as bright and even more toasty. So, finally, there was no doom and gloom on the weekend!

The good vibes will be amplified as we head into the weekend, with Saturday finally seeing near-seasonal temperatures in places like Kitchener, Guelph and Barrie.

However, the 6ix will still be a bit cooler due to its proximity to frigid Lake Ontario.

Unfortunately, that will be as good as it gets. Sunday morning will only be “mainly sunny” with cloud cover moving through the afternoon, creating a risk of showers, mainly in far west Toronto.

Things will still be cloudy on Monday, with temperatures that could rise a couple of degrees.

You’ll want to enjoy it while you can, as “torrential rain” will develop on Tuesday night, ringing in a cold and gloomy midweek.

Residents will want to keep their Mother’s Day celebrations indoors, as cooler seasonal temperatures will come into the weekend.

Weather experts have previously reported that if Toronto doesn’t reach 20 degrees by May 3, this year will be the last the city has reached the temperature since 1993.

So yeah, it’s been bitter.
