Top scorer in Serie A. Immobile bites Milan and repeats the feat of Ronaldo and Messi

Lazio star Ciro Immobile continued to lead the Italian league’s top scorer this season, during the matchday 34 game against Milan.

Immobile scored Lazio’s first goal against Milan, during the match between them at the Olympic Stadium in the Italian capital, Rome, 4 minutes into the game, to give the Eagles an early lead.

With this goal, Immobile raised his tally to 26 goals this season, increasing his lead as top scorer in the Italian league, 3 goals ahead of Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, his closest rival.

This is the eighth goal scored by Immobile in the history of his clashes with Milan in the Italian League, with the jerseys of all the teams he played for.

Vlahovic will be able to reduce the difference with Immobile again when he plays with his Juventus team in Sassuolo (Monday) in matchday 34 of the Italian League.

According to the Opta World Statistics website, Immobile is the fourth player in the history of the five major European leagues to score more than 25 goals in 3 different seasons, after the Argentine Lionel Messi, the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo and the Polish Robert Lewandowski.

It should be noted that Cristiano Ronaldo was crowned top scorer in the Italian league last season with 29 goals, 5 goals ahead of former Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku.
