Terrace tested: Laurent-Perrier at Nobu Terrace in Marylebone | Driving test

If you are looking for a terrace that is fully prepared to withstand whatever the British summer throws at you, this would do the trick.

Is there a new Nobu Terrace?

Well, it’s not exactly new, but the whole Nobu Hotel London Portman Square is new and this summer they have a new collaboration with Laurent-Perrier on their terrace. It’s essentially a champagne pairing menu and it reads well enough to tempt us to try it.

Where is it?

The terrace is on the corner of Gloucester Place and Upper Berkeley Street in the upper northwest corner of Portman Square. The nearest tube would be Marble Arch, but judging by the regular fleet of executive limousines that arrive at the hotel, that’s not how most of the clientele arrive.

Who is it good for?

Bouji business lunches and weary shoppers.

So what exactly is collaboration?

Coinciding with the launch this year of Laurent Perrier’s latest release, his Grand Siècle Iteration No. 25, the chefs here combine some of Nobu’s signature dishes with a variety of iconic Laurent-Perrier cuvées. It is mainly a la carte. But, if you’re dining with a group, there’s also the option to start with a plate of sushi and nigiri from Nobu Signature Sharing.

This is what we had:
