MAHTOMEDI, Minn. (WCCO) — Mahtomedi Middle School and High School will switch to e-learning on Wednesday after a threatening message was posted online.
Superintendent Barb Duffrin informed families and district staff via email Tuesday night that the threat was submitted through the district’s Zephyr Tip form. She says the Washington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
“We know this is upsetting and disruptive to the important teaching and learning that is happening in our schools and that for some students this news may cause heightened anxiety and concern,” Duffrin wrote. “Please know that the administration and staff are actively planning to support our high school students as they return to school.”
Duffrin says students won’t be able to access middle and high school facilities on Wednesday, but in-person classes will still take place at district elementary schools.
