Federal government standing ‘shoulder to shoulder’ with NSW through floods

Emergency Management Minister Murray Watt says the federal government is “shoulder to shoulder” with NSW and is providing “ADF troops and any other support” needed during floods.

“I think it’s actually been a good example of cooperation between the federal and state governments to make sure we had ADF resources on the ground before they were needed,” Mr Watt told Sky News presenter Paul Murray. .

“That means they’re available when the time comes and that’s certainly what happened.”
