Erika Jayne Has ‘Empathy’ For Tom Girardi’s Alleged Victims Despite Outburst On ‘RHOBH’

Erika Jayne is coming clean about her outburst on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” in which she told co-star Crystal Kung Minkoff that she “doesn’t care about anyone but me.”

The 50-year-old reality star insisted she has “empathy” for her ex Tom Girardi’s alleged victims of embezzlement.

“Of course I have empathy for them,” Jayne told Page Six. “I had empathy for them then, and I have empathy for them now. And I trust they will be taken care of.”

Girardi is accused of embezzling millions of settlement funds intended for families, including widows and orphans, who lost loved ones in the Lion Air Flight 610 crash in 2018.

The news came a month after Jayne filed for divorce from the 82-year-old disbarred lawyer in November 2020 after 21 years of marriage.

Since then, the “XXPEN$IVE” singer has faced various questions and scrutiny from fans and co-stars over her knowledge of Girardi’s alleged misdeeds.

“Listen, I want to be very clear here: I have fully cooperated with everything,” Jayne told the outlet. “Despite what’s on the blogs or tweets or anything on social media, please understand that I’ve been fully cooperative.”

In the extended sneak peek for season 12 of “RHOBH,” Jayne and Kung Minkoff got into a heated argument about the former’s legal troubles.

“You want to side with the victims because you think it’s cool!” Jayne told the co-star about him. “I don’t care about anyone but me!”

This is not the first time Jayne has addressed her tension with Kung Minkoff.

While promoting the upcoming season of “RHOBH,” she told Us Weekly on Tuesday, “There’s this outpouring of ‘Why don’t you act this way, Erika? Why aren’t you compassionate? Why don’t you have empathy? ‘ And the truth is, I do. I’m also under a lot of legal pressure. I’ve walked to the line. I’m fighting with one hand tied behind my back.”

The Bravo star claimed that she had shared “almost everything” about the case that she could on screen, but felt that no one was listening, which she found frustrating.

Jayne was dismissed from Girardi’s embezzlement and fraud lawsuit in January.

However, their legal battle continues after the law firm Edelson PC filed another lawsuit in April alleging that Jayne, her company EJ Global, and the law firm Girardi & Keese and their lenders committed various crimes, including racketeering, receiving stolen property, aiding and abetting concealment of stolen property, unlawful business practices, and acts of consumer recourse and deception.

“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” airs Wednesday at 8 pm EDT on Bravo.
