Emmerdale’s Samantha Giles apologizes to Gemma Collins
EMMERDALE star Samantha Giles has apologized to Gemma Collins after joking that he would hit her if they met in person.
The soap opera favorite took to Twitter to explain that her “joke” had been “wrong” and said that she “raised her hands” at her misdeed.
Samantha, 50, gave her take on reality TV stars earlier this week, telling the Daily Star she “had no idea” who they were.
But turning his attention to Gemma, 41, he continued: “That Gemma Collins, I think I’d hit her if I ever came across her.
“I don’t know, how someone so talentless and disgusting could have made so much money?
“I wouldn’t mind if he gave it away and did something nice with it, but all he seems to do is put more shit on his face and do his nails.”
But now, Samantha has apologized in a tweet, explaining that the comments had been “taken out of context”.
“I am aware that the comments I made on a press red carpet have been taken out of the context in which I meant them so I would like to apologize to Gemma,” he wrote.
“I would like to apologize for my misjudged jokes that I honestly didn’t mean. I hope this apology is acceptable. I put my hands up.”
It comes days after Gemma signed a huge £1million deal with New Look as she is set to become the face of the brand.
