Demonstrators gather to protest against the ‘freedom’ mandate at Niagara Falls

A convoy of protesters united by opposition to the response to the COVID-19 pandemic protested in Niagara Falls, Canada on Saturday, April 16, having traveled from Ottawa. Images released by lawyer and political commentator Caryma Sa’d show people marching through the streets of Niagara Falls waving Canadian flags and chanting “freedom.” One group involved in the protest, Freedom Fighters Canada, says it is “demanding an end to all government mandates; the end of all tyrannical bills and legislatures.” On his website, he adds: “Our government has overstepped its bounds, we are here to put them back where they belong.” Protesters have called the protest the North American Unity Tour.
