Police in suburban Cary say a young boy has died after being struck by a school bus Monday afternoon.
According to authorities, police were called to the area of Cherry Street and Hill Street after an accident involving a child who was struck by a school bus.
The boy was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
Police say there was another student on the bus at the time of the incident, along with the driver. Neither man was injured in the collision.
The Cary Police Department is investigating the incident and no further details were available at this time.
