Burnaby RCMP searches for man accused of indecent act in car at red light – BC

Burnaby RCMP is requesting information to identify a man seen masturbating in his car at a red light on Lougheed Highway.

Police said the incident occurred just before 4 p.m. Thursday, when the vehicle stopped alongside a No. 136 transit bus near Gaglardi Road.

A teenager on the bus videotaped the suspect and turned him over to investigators.

“Burnaby RCMP is seeking to speak to anyone else, including bus drivers or other passengers, who may also have witnessed this indecent act or seen the suspect or his vehicle,” said Burnaby RCMP Cpl. Alexa Hodgins said in a press release.

“This is worrying behavior. Police want the public to be aware of this incident and to report any similar activity.”

The suspect is described as Caucasian, in his 50s, with a medium to heavy build. He was wearing a black jacket with white stripes and appeared to be wearing no pants, and was driving what police believe was a gray vehicle.

Police are also seeking additional video from the area, as the video did not get a clear view of the suspect vehicle or license plate.
