7-foot sinkhole submerges car in Salt Lake City

Utility crews pulled a car from a 7-foot-deep sinkhole after a water main break submerged the vehicle and flooded several homes in Salt Lake City on Tuesday, May 3. The SLC Utilities Department reported that the break flooded six homes in Poplar. Wooded area and left the block without water. As of Tuesday afternoon, crews were still on site to repair the line and restore water to the area, the utility department said.
